Went to Shang on a Friday with a party of 10, thankfully they seated the table without every there, which is clutch. The cocktails weren't anything special to start but the waitstaff was attentive, friendly and insightful. They increased portions for us all to try things and made sure we had more than enough food. Only downside? Of the 12 or so dishes we tried only the Singapore Slaw and the Crispy Taro Puffs made a positive impression. I could live on those Taro Puffs.
Shang is an incredibly festive restaurant that serves new wave, gourmet takes on Chinese staples. This is definitely a high end restaurant that is perfect for groups. The Singapore slaw was excellent and beat out the Beijing cucumber salad. Would also second the crispy taro puffs. The turnip cake was also tasty--if you enjoy dim sum, you will definitely enjoy Shang!
