This cash-only, vegetarian and vegan friendly tea shop, co-created by musician Moby, offers an expansive array of teas as well as salads, sandwiches, desserts, coffee, beer and wine. As a tea-loving vegan myself, this place is like a dream come true. While some complain about the quality of the service, if you have a penchant for exotic teas or can appreciate a slice of vegan pumpkin cheesecake, Teany is a great place to unwind.
Cute place, and the food was good enough to make me see my vegan waiter's strident proselytizing as charming, rather than irritating!
I really liked the vegan chili I had -- hearty with well balanced spicing. (Why do so many veg chilis seem like they're trying to make up for the lack of meat by dumping in their entire jars of cumin and cayenne?)
