I enjoyed one of the most memorable meals I've had in an age at
Freemans. In fact, as of recent I have daydreamed about going back and
having the same exact thing. Not exaggerating. Brunch - poached eggs,
roasted tomato, and cheddar cheese grits. I definitely appreciate that
it may sound odd...but the eggs were poached to perfection, the
seasoned tomato was a delight...and those cheddar cheese grits were an
absolute wonder! The cheddar cheese flavor was very subtle and light
and the texture was surprisingly pleasing for grits. I'd also add that
my food-mate ordered the Freemans Cheeseburger and was supremely happy
with it and the french fries.
Although I hear that the wait for Freemans is generally unbearable due
to its recent popularity, I happened to stumble upon it for brunch and
was seated right away. In either case, I'd say a meal here would be
worth waiting for.
