Yasuda is a rarity in a town littered with high-end sushi restaurants that focus more on signature dishes than traditional sushi and sashimi. The quality and variety of the fish is outstanding, and the manner of service is consistent with what you see in Japan or California (you order from the chef when seated at the bar, and you can order piece by piece if that's your preference). Omakase is fairly expensive (typically ~$100 per person), but letting the chef show you the restaurant's capabilities is really the best way to experience the place.
It's consistently great. And it's definitely miles ahead of the competition in its price range.
