I have been a fan of Jing Fong for a few years now, but recently there just doesn't seem to be enough food or variety to feed the giant ball room of hungry new yorkers. It's a fun place to go with a big group, but for an easier, tastier experience Oriental Garden is right next door.
I love Jing Fong! I agree that the food and service are not the best-the food is rarely hot, the carts are often empty and the staff is totally inattentive. However, I still choose Jing Fong over the other restaurants in Chinatown for the fun/crazy experience. Luckily, I always go with a Dim Sum pro who is able to navigate the huge ballroom and secure all of the staple dishes. I recommend going on Sunday with a large group.
