About me:
When it comes to choosing a restaurant, I always want a second opinion, so Yelp used to be a perfect solution (even though I never thought I would post my own reviews). Although their ranking system seemed overly manipulated, Yelp was a convenient source for restaurant info, so I constantly referenced it. But when highly rated restaurants on the site began to fall flat, I was inclined to set the record straight. Over 50 yelp reviews later, I had had enough and decided to create The Confoodant, a place where a network of trusted food enthusiasts could grow and post their opinions.
Is it just a blog?
Confoodant.com is still in development, but the network of confoodants has already begun to grow and are invited to post their reviews on The Confoodant blog until the real website is up and running. The blog doesn't provide the features that the full site will, but just think of it as a temporary home to start sharing restaurant tips with people you trust (and who trust you).

Have now been here three times in three weeks for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Note that the menus are dated and they often mix up the days they give to each person at the table!
Once you're sure you have the right day you're in for delicious American, the BLT was amazing(I like more B than L and T)and their brunch was great.
Atmosphere is a step above shabby chic and it's a great brunch date place. I'd skip it for dinner again though you can't beat the location.
This place is AWFUL! I cannot stress it enough. I have been here twice for brunch and both times had really bad experiences. Also, I think the menu is bad - nothing exciting and everything is bland.
The first time, I had the BLT, which would have been fine except that it was doused in mayo. The side salad, if you can even call it that, was not dressed. It was as though the kitchen had put a tablespoon of mustard on the lettuce and forgotten to add oil. I nearly threw up at the table.
The second time, the bartender told me he didn't have a cafe au lait, but they could make me a cappuccino. I'm sorry but a cafe au lait is just warmed milk in a coffee, so they could have made it. I order two fried eggs, with toast, and sausage because I couldn't find anything else that looked appetizing. This was so bland, that I don't even think they added salt. My dining companion had also ordered a side dish that still hadn't come by the time we had paid. The poor people next to us, who sat down and had ordered before us, didn't get their food until after we had paid and where leaving.
Perhaps they are cutting back on seasoning, because Cookshop's food is so salty, but they have really missed the mark.
I would never go back and would never suggest this to someone.
After months of looking forward to this recommended restaurant, I was sadly disappointed. Luckily, my companion made it very worthwhile.
I do not recommend it for Brunch. The raisin French toast with apples mascarpone is far too sachharine. The consistency of the bread is like an over-cooked, egg-laden corn bread. The side of home-made sausages were dry (fatty meat being dry?? an oxymoron if you ask me!).
And although I strongly discourage you from partaking in the Brunch...the farmhouse-green interior, marble countertops, and subway tiling create a great interior space worthy of a visit for a drink...if you can handle the slow and poor service.
